Learn About Chocolate World

If you are a Chocolatier or candy maker, you have likely heard of Chocolate World. If not, you can learn about Chocolate World here.

Chocolate World currently has the largest range of polycarbonate moulds in the world and is well known for producing the highest quality of moulds and chocolate machines for artisan chocolatiers.

CHOCOLATE WORLD MOULDS:

Chocolate World offers over 1600 polycarbonate mould (mold) designs and continues to add new designs annually. Their moulds are very popular because they are superior in design and quality and priced the same as inferior moulds.  Chocolate World moulds (molds) contain the highest amount of polycarbonate per mould, and are precisely engineering to ensure that each surface of each cavity is identical. This results in fewer cooling spots and a more professional product.

CHOCOLATE WORLD COMPANY HISTORY:

Chocolate World is a Belgium based company founded in 1985 by the Vermorgen brothers while operating their pastry shop and seeing a need for a more comprehensive supplier of goods. By the end of the of eighties, they found themselves specializing more in the distribution of materials and shapes for chocolate than the production of pastries. They purchased a Portugal company that produced metal moulds for chocolate, designed by a Dutch designer, and then outsourced for the polycarbonate injection molding.

During this timeframe, chocolate production in Europe was seeing the industrialization of chocolate. Instead of chocolatiers having to make their own chocolate prior to making their chocolate and candy confections, they could now purchase chocolate from various local sources. This became the trend as it saved shops a significant amount of time. Belgium chocolate was becoming world famous, and more and more chocolatiers began to invest in production capacity.

In 1994, Chocolate World moved is production from Portugal to Hoboken, Belgium. The next year, in 1995, the company was taken over by two company employees, one was responsible for the move from Portugal and the second a 3-year seasoned Chocolate World salesman. Both are still involved with Chocolate World today.

The company expanded in 2009, offering a number of artisan solutions for chocolatiers that included tempering machines, melting tanks, mini-malting lines and cooling tunnels.

CHOCOLATE WORLD TODAY:

Chocolate World continues to provide equipment for artisan chocolatiers and candy makers. Their goods are distributed throughout North American by TCF Sales, located in the Austin, TX area, who specializes in equipment for chocolate and candy makers.
